Introduction
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Debie Lee.
I am a Mindfulness Teacher who is passionate about promoting healthy living.
I began my teaching journey in 1998, starting with preschool education. Over the years, I have evolved a Wellness Teacher at University of Florida 4-H Programs, where my focus was on educating youths about the importance of nutrition and wellness.
I have experience teaching in diverse environments and take joy in collaborating with families to advocate for overall wellness.”
I have worked for the University of Florida since 2017 as 4-H Program Assistant and taught Healthy Living Nutrition (not the same as Healthy Living Mindfulness) in the schools, K-12 and their adult friends. I have always included the special needs youths.
My experience spans a variety of educational environments, where I’ve cherished the opportunity to collaborate with families in fostering comprehensive wellness.
Teaching at Carpe Diem Special Needs Academy in Kendall & Little Havana, along with the Miami-Dade Schools, has been an immensely fulfilling chapter of my career. The joy of contributing to the growth and development of special-needs youths is seriously remarkable.
Continuing on my path as a mindfulness teacher has only broadened my horizons.
As I kept moving along on to sharing my expertise in Healthy Living Nutrition with the Girl Scouts, I remained actively involved with the 4-H youths, guiding them in their gardening endeavors up until 2024 when in April I retired from teaching in the schools.
It’s a role that I continue at our wellness farm which allows me to continue to sow seeds of mindfulness and wellness that flourish into lifelong habits.
What is Healthy Living Mindfulness Program at Earth•Ling Farm?
I continue to teach youths about making mindful decisions for their health through the Healthy Living Mindfulness Program.
The Healthy Living Mindfulness program covers a wide range of mindful topics aimed at helping today’s youth understand the importance of healthy habits and making informed decisions for their overall well-being.
Embracing a lifestyle of wellness, I prioritize mindful living and conscious breathing as key elements to navigate the day’s challenges with poise.
Benefits of this approach include:
Enhanced Focus: Mindful practices improve concentration and mental clarity, allowing for better decision-making.
Stress Reduction: Conscious breathing techniques are practiced to lower stress levels, promoting a sense of calm.
Improved Health: A lifestyle centered around wellness contributes to overall physical health and well-being.
Emotional Balance: Regular mindfulness practices and meditation can lead to greater emotional resilience and stability. This holistic approach to health not only nurtures the body but also fortifies the mind, equipping you to handle life’s ups and downs with grace.
I am grateful to work with all ages but have found that youth who are at least eight (8) years of age or older benefit most and begin demonstrating behavior change.
I have designed Healthy Living Mindfulness Program for not only the youths but for every living, breathing humans I spend my time with.
KidsHealth.com explains: Mindfulness means paying full attention to something. https://kidshealth.org/en/kids/mindfulness.html It means slowing down to really notice what you’re doing. Being mindful is the opposite of multitasking. When you’re mindful, you’re taking your time, you’re focusing in a relaxed, easy way.

I am currently studying Herbalism, a subject that captivates my interest. Eager to grow as an herbalist, honoring the legacy of my grandparents who were esteemed herbalists and farmers.
Also, as I deepen my yoga practice, i am currently in advanced training where i continue my journey as yoga teacher to delve more into the fascinating world of Yoga Anatomy, an intricate study that marries the ancient practice of yoga with the scientific understanding of the human body.
I am on a mission to help Change the World around me, One Child at a Time…to enhance the health and well-being of youths, and their families.
My inspiration is to use wellness; mindfulness, meditation, yoga, photography, art, sound therapy, nutrition & gardening…all for psychological wellbeing, that will support holistic learning, healthy eating habits & social-emotional learning, as a vehicle for healing and for social change.
I am eager to discuss how I can help your youth improve their healthy habits and lifestyle choices. Through engagement of the mind and body, students can maintain focus and concentration, reduce stress, regulate their emotions, and become more engaged in learning. Research such as what is stated below, has shown that yoga, meditation, and mindfulness have proven beneficial in various ways, and it is all worth it.
Harvard explains: Yoga and mindfulness offer psychological benefits for children as well. A growing body of research has already shown that yoga & mindfulness can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behavior, and even reduce anxiety and stress in children.
