Music possesses the ability to assist us in unwinding, reduce our stresses, and for me, definitely providing motivation. And yes, it enables us to experience a wide range of emotions. Have you ever tried sitting in silence without any music playing? You might be surprised at the wonderful sounds you can hear, especially in nature. You can even take your phone and record the sounds around you. No matter where you are, there are always sounds happening, and you can consider them as music or simply take a break and enjoy listening to them. It can be really refreshing and calming!
Have you ever listen to your own heart beat? That is music !!!
Whether you are in you car driving alone or sitting in you bedroom… try listening to just the sounds around you. I do!!
In any case I truly love music and I sometimes combine my favorite music to the sounds of my environment. I use the iMovie app to combine the sounds and create videos of my surroundings, this can be a whole heap of fun to do. Try out the sound recording app on your phone as well.
I tried to imagine my life without music. It would be quite different and perhaps a bit dull. I love all music but especially country music… they tell stories in country music. I listen to most meditation music as I am a meditation teacher and yoga teacher.
Music has the power to uplift our spirits, bring us joy, and even help us express our emotions. I sometimes play music to go with my mood! Sometimes even rock or dance music.
Without music, we might not have those catchy tunes to sing to that get stuck in our heads or the lyrics that resonate with us on a deep level. I love singing out loud too. I am Jamaican Hawaiian and I love Bob Marley. Singing out loud his music makes me feel happy all over!!! Can’t do that to meditation music… I must admit.
We wouldn’t have those moments of dancing, singing along, or getting lost in the rhythm. Music adds color and depth to our lives, making everyday moments more meaningful and special. It’s a form of self-expression and a way to connect with others. So, without music, our lives may feel a little emptier, lacking that extra touch of beauty and emotion.
I listen to all John Prine – my husband’s favorite. Ever since I saw Jackson Browne in concert, I love all his music.
