It can be easy to think we need to “make more time” for our wellness practices, squeezing them in amidst the busyness of our day. Another approach is to simply reframe some of your current activities to include more intention, awareness, and wellness.
Take showering, for example. You could view a quick rinse as a simple physical body wash. You could also view it as a meaningful cleansing ritual. In cultures around the world, water has been used as a cleansing and purifying element through rituals, rites, and ceremonies.
Your Wellness Tip this Wednesday is to make your next shower into something that is more than just a physical rinse. Set an intention around letting go, cleansing, and releasing. While in the shower, visualize the water washing away old thoughts, beliefs, fears, insecurities, doubts, etc. Imagine that as you step out of the shower, you are emerging as a cleansed person! The beauty of this practice is that it’s all about re-framing a mundane life activity into a powerful wellness practice.
