Do You Believe That Mindfulness & Yoga Should Be A Part Of The Schools Curriculum?

Studies show that mindfulness & yoga can be used to treat disorders like depression and anxiety in youth and found that students who completed mindfulness programs were better equipped to handle challenges in their daily lives.

Our lives and the lives of our children and their children depend on this practice especially now, with all that is going on in our world today !

I am a certified E-Ryt – Yoga Teacher (Yin & Vinyasa) & a Certified Mindfulness Facilitator. I am also enrolled in a two year certification training program with The Awareness Training Institute

I teach yoga, art therapy (since 2010) & mindfulness (since 2017) in Miami-Dade schools (public & private) and also for my community….SO….Please back me in this …by asking yourself, & our officials, & our community leaders, & our parents, & neighbors, friends & especially your child & students & yes, their teachers… BUT…
First think about this question (research it) then go deeper into your whole soul…your self …and process the context of what you truly believe,… then answer it:

The truth is: I am trying to get Congress to work with me here. My plan is to work hard for our children to get Mindfulness & Yoga in schools as an addition to the already school curriculum or as an extra curriculum (after school or during PE )

Let me know your thoughts. (Please be mindful with your words, respectful to all and be honest with your answers)

Mindfulness is a practice that originates from Buddhist philosophy, and it has been used as a calming technique for centuries.[1] In the twentieth-century, psychologists began using meditation and mindfulness to treat disorders like depression and anxiety. They found that patients who completed mindfulness programs were better equipped to handle challenges in their daily lives.[2] Educators have recently begun to apply mindful principles to address the emotional needs of students and have seen profound results so far.
